Welcome to my Enrich Annapolis! Blog.  This is THE place to check out up-to-date information, new offerings and creative classes being offered to the community through Enrich Annapolis programs at St. Anne’s School of Annapolis.  I hope you’ll take the time to not only read the exciting things going on here, but also provide me with some feedback and suggestions on past, present and future classes.

Our Spring session is just beginning . . . It includes classes in Latin, debate, archery, fencing, soccer skills, tee ball and science just to name a few!  As a past homeschooling mother of four, I have a huge soft spot for homeschoolers and hope to use this program as a platform to help homeschooling families throughout the community enrich thier  current curriculum.   I am always open to suggestions for group classes and am looking forward to offering classes this fall tailored specifically to homeschoolers.  Please share this blog with your homeschooling groups and networks  to keep the enrichment going!

I am proud to announce the addition of Karen Heuer to our Enrich Annapolis! Study Center.  Karen graduated from the University of Maryland with a Masters in Library Science; Harvard Graduate School of Education with a Masters in Education; and from Michigan State University with a Bachelors of Arts-Deaf Education/Elementary Education. Karen has not only homeschooled her own three children for the past eleven years, but she has tutored kids (grades K-8) for over a decade in everything from organizational and study skills to reading, writing and math. Call me if you would like more information about Karen or The Annapolis Study Center (410-263-8650).

Enrich Annapolis! not only offers after school programs for children (starting at age two), but offers a myriad of enriching opportunities for adults, too!  Twenty four adults joined in the fun last month for our first “Wine Tasting 101″ class hosted by Wine Cellars of Annapolis.  Vern Humble hosted this two-evening class  and kept us all entertained with blind tastings, creative smelling and delicious wines.  Stay tuned for news about the next class!

Fred Astaire Dance Studio greats, Tom and Lynn Cloutier, kept us on our toes before the holidays, offering Enrich Annapolis! a holiday edition of their “Ballroom Basics” class.  Waltz, swing, foxtrot, cha cha, rumba and tango were the highlights – with the class ending in a cocktail party with a dee jay – the perfect palce for us to show off our newly acquirted dancing skills!  Look for Tom and Lynn to join us again this fall . . .

From music lessons for all ages to learning a new language – Enrich Annapolis! has something for everyone.  Next blog I will be featuring some success stories (and lots of pictures) of current classes, including our Chess Team and all of our John Fishback classes (did you see the article about him in Sunday’s Capital?)  Click here to read all about him!

Check back every week for updates, pictures and the skinny on new classes being offered.  Don’t forget  to share your stories and pictures, too!  Until next time . . . have fun!

Susan
